Yucatan Lime Soup With Yuca Chunks, Shrimp And Chorizo

2 Servings
Total Time 20 minutes


  • ¼ cup ground Chorizo
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 cup peeled and deveined Shrimp 25-30 ct
  • ½ cup small diced Onion
  • ½ cup small diced Poblano Peppers
  • 2 tbsp. Chopped Garlic
  • 2 ea. Bay Leaves
  • 6 cups Chicken Broth
  • ½ cup Lime Juice
  • 1 tbsp. Lime Zest
  • 3 tbsp. Chopped Cilantro
  • 1 ea. Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tsp. Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp. Salt

Garnish per 8 Ounces Serving:


  • Heat 1-gallon sized sauce pot on medium heat.
  • Add butter and allow to melt.
  • Add chorizo and lightly brown.
  • Add onions, garlic, peppers and bay leaves and cook until tender.
  • Add Shrimp and remaining ingredients.
  • Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Serve
